We can all agree that a candy bar at a wedding is pretty darn sweet, right? Case in point (and an excuse to shove some more cheerful wedding inspiration down your throat):
Hello, I love you and now I want a peach ring.
Anyhoodle, that's out of our budget and in a big way, and trust me because we checked with so many candy distributors and stores my sweet tooth aches just thinking about it. But we did find a way to give guests something extra sweet and delightfully delicious to nom on in between the dinner and all their drinkin'. What could it be, you ask? (If you guessed personalized M&Ms, you are sadly incorrect.)
It's...our obvious-yet-really-unique favors!
And if you guessed homemade jam packaged to perfection, you're also sadly incorrect. Although that would be sort of charming considering our Weddingbee moniker...and also considering how heartwrenchingly delightful these look:
Alas, we don't jar our own preserves. For shame!
But Dustin just so happens to share his last name with a very popular candy bar (yes, it's even an ingredient in a Blizzard and also happens to be my dear ol' dad's favorite). And since I'm taking his last name once we tie the knot, we figured we would treat our guests with OUR VERY OWN CANDY BAR:
Sure, it might not be as cutesy as a full-fledged candy bar, but it will be really special. We're sort of guessing that the guests will love it, even though Dustin won't. Because--get this--he does not like his namesake candy bar. He thinks they taste bad. I still can't wrap my head around that.
Ah well, at least it will be a sentimental cherry to top the day. Oh, and did I mention that they're so budget friendly, it's like they fell straight down from God's hands into ours? We're buying them all from the Dollar Tree, because they sell them in value-packs for just $1. Another item checked off the list and still within the $10k budget. One day at a time, folks.
What did you choose to do for special favors? Did you spend a whole lot more money on them than you planned? Did you go the DIY jam route? If so, major props to you for being so patient and hardworking. OR did you say screw the favors, guests got to eat and drink and dance all night, plus they'll probably just forget them in a drunken haze on the tables?
first, love the new look, lady!
second, that sounds like an awesome flavor...i think they're delish!
we're not sure on favors yet, but you've definitely got my mind a-turning!
